With all terrain freestyle as the driving force behind it, the Podium combines a Hyper Progressive Sidecut with our Carbon Torsion Forks for a snappy, responsive ride that is at home in the pipe and backcountry alike.

PATENTED HYBRITECH CONSTRUCTION
Hybritech is the most effecient way to make a snowboard. It takes a cap tip and tail and blends it into a sidewall along the running surface. We take the time to create complex molds and parts that bring these two features together. It gives you low swing weight and optimized turn initiation at the ends combined with durability and damping on the running surface. This design produces high-performance boards that excel across any variety of mountain terrain, snow conditions, and riding styles.

SIDECUTS/SHAPE
Different sidecuts give K2's snow boards many unique handling characteristics. Whether you're hitting kickers in the park, railing on the hardpack, buttering in the flatlands or learning your first few turns, K2 have a sidecut that will perform for you. K2's technology allows them to develop the best geometric combinations to make your days on the hill more fun and less strenuous, keeping you in control at all times.

Similar to a formula one car suspension, K2's Hyper Progressive sidecut allows for ultra fine adjustment at any speed and in any condition. An infinite number of different radii are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center, thus allowing you to have exactly the right sidecut at any moment throughout your turn. No more all or nothing sidecuts that seem to be mellow initiating a turn, then hooky once you really get into them. This sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all around riding snow board on the market today.

CORES
At the heart of your snow board, cores determine overall characteristics of strength, edge hold, torsion, flex, weight and energy transfer. K2 is committed to snowboards that ride and flex naturally with the rider, and that ride starts with the snowboard core. When it comes to using wood, K2's mantra is "Tip to tail. Rail to rail." They believe wood provides the best all around performance of any material out there. They use renewable resources wherever possible, and enhance K2's high end cores with performance engineered materials.
